Filippo Morgante, my grandfather. 

Born on Aug. 23, 1893, in Delianuova, Reggio Calabria, Italia. Immigrated to the United States, via Ellis Island, in 1910 at the age of 17.

The image was made during his time working as a stunt rider in the old Hollywood Westerns. My father told me Grandpa was one of the few stunt riders who was able to lasso cattle and horses while riding at full gallop.
